Service Technician

Seeking experienced technicians to service fire, security, access control, intercom, IP & analog video systems, and related systems and components.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work closely with the sales and operations departments
  • Demonstrate communication and teamwork skills with customers, co-workers and subcontractors to express ideas and technical concepts to problem solve
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used and communicate any problem encountered or identified with the alarm system
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • High School or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of Honeywell, Notifier, DMP, Hikvision systems a plus
  • Computer/Network experience is a plus
  • Ability to read blue prints/drawings
  • NJ Alarm License not required, but preferred
  • Ability to independently conduct tests, and determine whether equipment is operating as expected; troubleshooting skills; equipment maintenance; repairing; installation; time management
  • Must have a professional appearance, attitude, and ability to communicate with customers at all levels
  • Able to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs. and ability to climb ladders, use lifts and scaffolding to include performing work in unusual and sometimes difficult locations such as ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

Fire Alarm Inspection Technician

Perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of various types of commercial fire alarm and low-voltage systems following NFPA, state, and local code requirements. Includes commissioning and testing new fire alarm systems, generating alarm testing reports and related documentation. Preparing reports according to NFPA 72 standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Technology is a plus, and candidate will be required to obtain Level I Certification within the first year of role
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally require evening, after-hours, weekend, or out-of-town inspections
  • Must have valid driver’s license

IT Field Service Technician

In search of an IT-driven individual to program, troubleshoot, and support systems include access control, IP & analog video, nurse call, intrusion, network-based systems, and related systems and components. Providing technical solutions to address defined business requirements. Interacts with clients to process basic service requests to resolve basic technical problems. Replaces and rebuilds hardware components as needed. Installs/removes/configures basic software applications.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Candidate must have good understating of personal computers, peripherals & associated accessories. Solid understanding of personal computing applications MS-Office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of business applications, networks and server infrastructure
  • Experience with IT networking and advance computer knowledge as well as IP Camera systems and Access Control Systems required
  • Knowledge in the following operating systems a plus: DSX, Avigilon, Hikvision, and Bosch. Self-motivated with the ability to function independently with supervision in a deadline driven work environment
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
  • Demonstrate communication and teamwork skills with customers, co-workers and subcontractors to express ideas and technical concepts to problem solve
